District-Wide Play Production

_________________

Get ready for the spotlight! Falcon is proud to host an annual district-wide play, inviting students from TK to sixth grade across the Brea Olinda Unified School District to come together and shine on stage. And this year, the excitement is reaching new heights as we present our production at the esteemed Curtis Theater right in our city!

Why is it so important for your young stars to be part of this dazzling experience? Participating in our district play offers a host of benefits. Not only does it foster creativity and self-expression, but it also promotes teamwork, confidence, and communication skills. Our young performers have the opportunity to embrace their unique talents, learn from one another, and develop a strong sense of community.

The Curtis Theater provides a professional and supportive environment, allowing our students to showcase their talents on a real stage, leaving them with memories that last a lifetime. It’s not just a play, it’s an adventure, a chance to make friends, and a platform to discover and embrace their individuality.

Thursday, November 13th at 7pm in the Mariposa MPR

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate in the Play Production?

All BOUSD elementary students are welcome to participate, including students enrolled in BOA (Brea Online Academy), in grades TK–6. Please note that TK enrollment is limited and packets for TK students are available in smaller quantities.

What happens if my student can't make it to a rehearsal?

We understand that families have busy schedules. You will receive a conflict calendar so you can indicate any rehearsal dates your student is unable to attend. We use this information when forming casts so that students are placed where they can be successful. If an unexpected absence comes up, please email falconptoplay@gmail.com as soon as possible to report it.

What if my 4/5 year old can't keep up with the other children?

Rehearsals are grouped by age, so our youngest cast members will be rehearsing and performing with students their own age. And honestly… one of the best parts of the show is watching our littlest performers shine. They are adorable, enthusiastic, and loved by the audience—mistakes and all!

How often does my child have to attend rehearsals?

Most students rehearse twice per week, depending on their role and age group. As we get closer to performance week, rehearsals will increase (about three weeks before the show). During auditions/registration, please note any known conflicts (vacations, sports, etc.). This helps us cast thoughtfully and schedule efficiently.

What if my child cannot attend auditions?

No problem. If your student is unable to attend auditions, they will still be part of the production and will be placed in the ensemble. Every student who wants to participate will have a role on stage.

How will I receive updates about rehearsals, important dates, and other information?

After registration, families will be added to our GroupMe communication group for real-time reminders and schedule updates. We will also send important information directly to your email, so please be sure we have the best contact info on file.
