Attendees: Darin Noonan, Maureen Long, James Sutter, Mary Beth Kropp,

Meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. Darin welcomed everyone and introductions were made.

Treasurer Report:  $54,000 in the bank with $25,000 being put into “reserve” for a school track.  Judy Hoffman requested that a cash counter be purchased so that counting money would be easier and more efficient.  Motioned by Mr. Sutter and 2nd by Mrs. Kropp.  Approved for up to $250.00.  Mrs. Kropp asked if Tara in the office can use it when she needed.  Was told yes.  Asked if teacher reimbursements were to be allotted this year.  Darin asked to vote on it.  Was motioned by Mr. Sutter and 2nd by Mrs. Kropp.  Voted by everyone and approved.

Audit:  Once the new membership comes through and A track comes back on – will pick out 3 people to look through the check book and the bank statement to be sure that we are keeping with the California audit code.

Updates-Fence-Lighting-Track:  Darin was told that a school track was not a priority and that funds were not available.  Darin is still working on it and hopefully we can readjust money elsewhere.

Administrator Report:  Smooth sailing so far.  The theme is all about fun.  “Come on Get Happy” A track back to school night is August 23rd.

New Committee Members:  Sharon Hamlin will now take on the rule of PTO Secretary.

B-Street/Movie Nights/Sock Hop/Spring Fling:  Several parents have expressed interest in doing one of the family nights.  Bo Carson would like to do a movie night.  Dee Morti would like to handle B Street.  There is interest in doing a multi cultural festival and a science night.  Looking for parents to take charge of these events.  Tina Lassieter suggested a Foulks Ranch cookbook.  This might be a possible fundraiser.

Hospitality:  Gift bags for teacher appreciation.  Smiley face magnets and Jennifer Martin made candy for teachers.

Crab Feed:  Eileen Peterson, chair.  Theme is Fiesta.  Tickets go on sale December 15th.  The crab feed is December 15th.

Darin stated that Chris Strutz wanted to offer as a fundraiser selling mandarin oranges.  Mrs. Kropp was going to contact Mr. Strutz and see how many the school needed to purchase.

Mr. Sutter mentioned that there was a place in Sacramento that sold school supplies at a discounted rate.  The place is called RAF.  Mr. Sutter was going to check to see if there was a yearly fee that we could pay so that the teachers could purchase items for their classrooms.
